hope=sorrow

Like I said in an earlier post... hope leads to sorrow. Period.
Yes I am very sad.
I just wish I could get rid of hope forever. I know I will be much happier. But, alas.
A poem on such despondency some other day.
But maybe some lines for now:

Alas, it hurts so very bad to lose something
Even though you never had what you lost
You never will know what you are bereft of
A bundle of pain in losing it, that's what it cost

I don't weep my eyes out for the intangible
I won't light a candlelight vigil for that what's gone
It still hurts to come so close and lose it all
In silence mourning, my heart and mind are torn
